Last year, the Kentucky 811 team had the honor of donating much-needed boxes of school supplies to a local elementary school in honor of 811 Day (August 11). The school supply boxes were purchased using funds raised during the KY811 Drive Fore Supplies earlier in the year, and we need your participation to do it again!

This April, in recognition of National Safe Digging Month, Kentucky 811 is bringing a little competition to safety awareness.
We’re putting some of our most popular 811 videos head-to-head in a bracket-style tournament, and we need your help to choose a winner.
Each matchup features two videos competing for your vote. Watch both, pick your favorite, and cast your vote by commenting on our Facebook posts. Winning videos will advance through the bracket until one is crowned the ultimate Kentucky 811 champion.

Join us on July 25, 2026, at Gatton Park in Lexington for the fifth annual Flood with Love Music Festival! Kentucky 811 is proud to be sponsoring this community-driven event that celebrates music, unity and support for those impacted by natural disasters across the state.
For the 2026 event, PEAK (Powering the Economy through Arts in Kentucky), is teaming up with KY811 to create the Kentucky Disaster Relief Fund, which will be used for immediate relief for KY residents affected by tornadoes and flooding.

This past fall, Kentucky 811 asked local photographers of all levels to submit photographs that capture the beauty of Kentucky for a chance to be featured in our limited-edition 2026 calendar. Twelve photos were selected for the calendar and the top three were awarded prizes. The top three winners are featured below. In December 2021, an EF4 tornado hit Mayfield, Kentucky, inflicting unimagine damage and destruction on the area. In July 2022, historic floods washed over Whitesburg and Hindman, destroying physical memories and ruining structures with over five feet of water. Unfortunately, the Bluegrass state is no stranger to weather-inflicted disasters, but the people here are built with resilience and never fail to act quickly in helping one another recover.

Earlier this year, Kentucky 811 hosted the inaugural Drive Fore Supplies Golf Scramble to raise funds to purchase and donate vital school supplies to a local elementary school located in an underserved community in honor of 811 Day on August 11.
