In early February 2023, Kentucky 811 Executive Director Tim Vaughn and the One Call Concepts team toured around Kentucky for the 2023 Software Summits. Together, they hosted summits in six different cities, providing the opportunity to meet local excavators and member utilities face-to-face and introduce KY811’s new ticket submission and management software.
All six Software Summits had a great turn out – attendees arrived eager to learn and asked fantastic questions about integrating the software in their day-to-day work. Each session started with large-group live demonstrations of ITICnxt, an innovative map-first web system designed to help create and manage locate requests online, and the Locator Tickets portal, an efficient ticket management product designed specifically for members and locators.
After the demonstrations, the group shifted into individual trainings where each attendee was able to explore the software and ask questions as they worked through it. OCC team members shared tips and tricks, in addition to providing hands-on help.
